SACRED DANCE MANDALAS
with Chrisandra & Hazel Young
Friday August 11th to Sunday August 13th 2023
Dance into bliss. With exquisite music, from different world cultures and sacred traditions, we’ll dance moving mandalas to sacred chants/mantras, to find our own stillness and peace within.
Come for a special residential event at a wonderful, comfortable venue. The dances offered will be a blend of mostly gentle, meditative circle dances, to light up the heart and lift the spirit, with all the dances carefully taught and repeated for maximum benefit. If the weather is fine we shall be dancing outside for part of the programme.
The Woodbrooke Conference Centre, Birmingham, is a lovely venue with a very special ambience, and is situated in 10 acres of beautiful grounds. Our dancing space is a stunning panelled room surrounded by trees. Accommodation is mainly single ensuite rooms, (or if you prefer, twin/double shared rooms), and includes full board (vegetarian food offered at each meal and special diets catered for).

Chrisandra
Chrisandra has been teaching folk, circle and meditation dance for 37 years. She has a particular interest in Armenian, Greek and Anatolian dances, has travelled extensively along the Old Silk Road and has led many overseas group holidays to these areas. In addition she has an interest in using dance as ritual to mark seasons or specific themes. She is an empowering teacher helping people find their dancing feet and dancing heart.
Hazel Young
Hazel has been teaching Circle Dance for over 30 years, gaining an international reputation as a dance leader and choreographer. She has a great enthusiasm for folk dance (with a particular passion for Greek dance and music) together with a love of more meditative and contemporary circle dances. With a relaxed and humorous approach to dance teaching, at the same time Hazel is dedicated to helping dancers discover the magic of the Dance.
Accommodation
All rooms will be allocated fairly on a first to book basis. Choose between single, double,or twin bed rooms. The bedrooms have ensuite facilities.
Food
Delicious meals are included in the price of the event. The menu includes vegetarian choices, and special dietary requirements will be accommodated.
Bookings
We expect this unique event to be popular so early booking is recommended.

and return with a non-refundable deposit of £175.
The final balance will be due before 1st June 2023. You can book by post or email. (see booking form).
Cancellations
If you have to cancel, deposits are non-refundable as they will have been paid to the venue to reserve your place. Once you have paid the balance this will also be non-refundable. You are strongly advised to have your own insurance in case of cancellation.
